Fr. Limukani “Lims” Ndlovu, Zimbabwe

Lims always stands out in a crowd. He is tall like a tree and has a giant heart. He serves as a priest in his own parish and is constantly travelling throughout his archdiocese. For him the daily conflicts and misunderstandings of his parishioners are only too familiar. He cares enough to receive all parties and opinions with respect, and in this way find peaceful solutions.

Lims on NVC: “NVC has changed my approach to life, especially the way to deal with conflict. Even as a priest I was not free of making people or situations responsible for my feelings. This has changed with my first NVC workshop when I became conscious of my own responsibility. Now I am using NVC not only at work, but in my life in general. I like to pass this way of communication on to the children, since it is a huge advantage to grow up surrounded with a mindful consciousness.”

Profession: Director of Emthonjeni Pastoral Centre, Pastoral Vicarof the archdiocese
